A4 BF 135 LU from Honda is one of the most silent and powerful outboard motors in its class. With any boat trip will turn into a high-speed fabulous journey. BF135 LU A4 created on the basis of the automobile engine Honda Accord. Equipped with system VTEC and PGM-FI, Honda outboard motor is economical and safe.

This engine has got all the latest developments of the company Honda. Among them, BLAST technology, allowing to simultaneously increase torque at low speeds, software injection induction system PGM-FI technology of the impoverishment of the working mixture Lean Burn Control and more. The power unit is a inline four-cylinder engine 2354 CC with two camshafts above the cylinder block – line DOHC (Double Over Head Cam), four valves per cylinder. Despite the completely different timing system, unlike Honda models BF75 and BF90, outboard motors BF115/135/150 have the same simplified control system valves – rocker valves do not require precision adjustments with use of shims for the experimental selection of the best of the situation. For the supply of fuel to the combustion chamber meets the system PGM-FI (Programmed Fuel Injection software injection intake system), which is, in fact, multi-point sequential electronic fuel injection system. The system dispenses with the accuracy of the calculated amount of fuel in each combustion chamber taking into account the restricted load of the engine. The system provides the engine steady running, well-coordinated work, high technical performance and reduced fuel consumption. All the major systems of the engine such as a lean fuel mixture and the electronic ignition system, of course, also associated with PGM-FI via command module ECM, and the technology of BLAST cycles in the bargain and the ignition system.

The cooling system has three independent circuit – the cooling circuit of the cylinder block, cylinder head and exhaust manifold. The trochoid type oil pump is driven from the crankshaft. The same pumps are used in cars. To reduce vibration of the engine used two counter-rotating balancing shaft. On models BF135 and BF150 uses a system of two-phase inlet, the principle of which is based on the fact that by means of appropriate valves, by opening and closing specific air channels in the intake manifold, is achieved by the geometric increase at low rpm and decrease high to equalize the pressure to atmospheric, which provides the required amount of air for the engine, improving its performance in corresponding modes. Swivel bracket BF115/135/150, axis tilt and all the shafts made of stainless steel. Multilayer coating process protects against corrosion external parts of the motor in aggressive marine environment. Stain is applied to the Honda aluminium alloy which undergoes a special treatment with an insulating material.
